Terry Sirek put on a great drive to take the street stock main event and record his first win since last year's "Little Dream." Butch Kummer held the pole position but he had bad luck immediately when he got a flat tire on the opening circuit which sent the field scrambling around him. Ryan Viltz found a hole in the traffic and shot from the third row into the lead. Sirek was right behind him with Butch Madsen and Jimmy Randall flying up from deep in the pack.
Tom Johnson rolled to a halt with five laps complete and that was the only slow down of the event. On the restart Sirek was able to get inside Viltz and challenge for the lead. He powered past on the inside of turn four to take the lead. Meanwhile, Madsen and Randall were having a battle for third.
Viltz didn't give up as he continued to challenge Sirek to try to get the lead back but Sirek had the groove and drove on for the win. Randall was able to get past Madsen for third as Butch had some smoke coming from under the hood but he maintained fourth ahead of Jay Kesan.
Racing continues next Saturday night when the Best Appearing Car awards will be selected. Maxine's Family Restaurant and Kitchen Kleen Potatoes will be the nightly sponsor.
